Safety in the air

The foremost strategic objective of all FABEC partners is to ensure that flying is safe. Passengers will only choose to fly if they have complete confidence that they will arrive safely at their destination; which in turn means aviation’s enviable safety record also has positive economic impact.  

This means that aircraft need to remain a safe distance from one another and from other vehicles and obstacles. As simple as that sounds, in FABEC airspace, one of the densest and most complex airspaces worldwide, it is an ongoing challenge. Despite the high traffic volume and work level of an air traffic controller there is no room for error. Statistics show that aviation is the safest mode of transportation – but experience demonstrates that the implications of an aircraft accident are tremendous and tragic for passengers and their loved ones.

Hence, we will never forget that safety is our first priority!
